OptiBiz ("we", "our", "platform") takes privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy details the types of personal and commercial data we collect, why we collect it, how it is safeguarded, and your rights concerning your information.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account and Profile Information: Your full name, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Google User Data (Google OAuth): When signing in with Google, we access only your basic profile information (name, email address, avatar photo, and Google unique account identifier). We use only non-sensitive OAuth scopes (openid, email, profile). We do NOT request or access emails, contacts, Google Drive files, or any restricted scopes.
  • Business Operations Data: Product listings, pricing, stock levels, orders, sales logs, customer phone numbers/names, expenses, and invoices entered into your private workspace.
  • Technical & Log Data: Device browser, IP address, and session cookies necessary to maintain signed-in state.

3. How We Use Data

We process information exclusively to:

  • Authenticate your identity and guard tenant boundaries.
  • Maintain operational ledgers, stock tracking, and orders.
  • Allow public storefront customers to view catalog items and place orders.
  • Transmit receipts, order updates, and critical system notifications.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We never sell or rent your business records or personal data. We utilize trusted infrastructure partners:

  • Supabase: Encrypted database and authentication backend.
  • Paystack: Payment infrastructure for settlement and checkout.
  • Visibility: Authorized connection to power your public storefront website.

5. Security Standards

All traffic is secured using TLS 1.3 encryption. Every database query enforces Row Level Security (RLS) ensuring that only verified members of your business can view or modify records.
